At Frau Farbenfroh, you can paint ceramics just the way you want - alone, with friends or as a special event. Immerse yourself in a world full of colours and ideas.

How it works

This is how your ceramic experience at Frau Farbenfroh works:

1. arrive & feel good

We'll give you a warm welcome and take the time to explain how everything works - and of course we'll be on hand with tips and ideas the whole time.

2. choose your ceramic

Whether it's a cup, bowl or decorative object - with over 150 different blanks, you're guaranteed to find your favourite piece.

3. enjoy colours & creativity

Immerse yourself in our colourful world of colour: try out different techniques and design your work to your taste within 2.5 hours - relaxed, creative and lots of fun.

4. clean up & pay

At the end, simply put your place back in order - so our studio remains a cosy place for everyone. Pay easily in cash, by card or with a voucher.

5. glazing & firing

We take care of the rest: your artwork is glazed and professionally fired by us.

6. pick up your masterpiece

After a few days, you can collect your finished, unique piece from us. Please bring your own bag or packaging for transport - for the sake of the environment.

From the idea to a colourful place of creativity

We are Katharina and André - two business economists with the desire to bring more colour and creativity into everyday life. With Frau Farbenfroh, we have fulfilled our dream of combining a creative activity with a special place: a studio where people can take a deep breath, calm down and create something beautiful with their own hands.

It is important to us that everyone feels welcome here. That's why at Frau Farbenfroh you can expect not only a large selection of lovingly selected ceramics, but also a warm, relaxed atmosphere, friendly service and enough space to give free rein to your creativity.

Our aim is to give you a creative break full of lightness and cheerfulness. We look forward to welcoming you to Frau Farbenfroh soon - and to creating small, colourful moments of happiness together with you.

Reserve & time to be creative

With us, you can easily book places for up to 6 people online:

If you are a larger group, simply write to us at reservierung@frau-farbenfroh.com - We are happy to plan individualised sessions with you. A painting session lasts 2.5 hours - enough time to try things out and create your personal favourite piece. It's entirely up to you whether you finish after just 30 minutes or take several hours. If you don't finish, we'll find a solution together. We can keep your piece for you for up to 6 weeks.

For children & families

Children from the age of 6 are very welcome! An adult should be present until the age of 14. We also have something special for the very little ones (up to 12 months): cute footprints with non-toxic, washable colours.

Prices & Payment

With us, you only pay for what you paint - i.e. your chosen ceramics. Colours, glaze and firing are always included.

Small pieces are available from €10-29

Larger pieces are between 30-60 €

Minimum purchase: €20 per person (also applies to accompanying persons) Payment is made in a relaxed manner after painting - in cash, by card or voucher.

Drinks & little extras

Please do not bring your own food or drinks - we have a nice selection of hot and cold drinks at fair prices on site.

On site

You don't need to bring anything except yourself and a good mood - you'll find everything else with us.
Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate pushchairs. However, dogs are welcome to accompany you - just remember that it can get busy at the weekend. There are even special days with dog paw prints for animal creativity.

Collection & dispatch

After your visit, we will glaze and fire your piece. It will be ready for collection after about 5 days. If you like, we can also send your ceramics by DHL (€10 for the first piece, +€2.50 for each additional piece). We store finished and unfinished pieces for up to 6 weeks. After that, the right to collection expires.

Quality & special features

Our colours are water-soluble and washable - so spills are no problem. After firing, your ceramic is dishwasher-safe and suitable for everyday use. However, we recommend hand washing with a mild washing-up liquid so that you can enjoy them for a long time. The pieces are not suitable for the microwave. Firing at 1,000 °C can rarely cause small cracks or flaking. Ceramic is a natural product, so this is sometimes part of the process.

In the event of major damage (without painting errors), you may choose a new piece.

We rectify minor defects wherever possible.

Fine hairline cracks (craquelé) are caused by our lead-free glaze - they are completely normal and make your piece truly unique.
